GOK presents a new hands-on format at the Caravan Salon
23 Jul 2025At Caravan Salon 2025, GOK will demonstrate how liquefied gas can be used in leisure vehicles safely, efficiently and with user-friendly solutions. The proven models of the Caramatic series take centre stage – including the compact SafeDrive models with integrated crash sensor, as well as the systems DriveOne, DriveTwo, BasicOne and BasicTwo. For the first time, the company will also give trade fair visitors the opportunity to assemble typical system configurations themselves and gain hands-on insight into how they work.
Understanding technology through hands-on experience
At the so-called hands-on workbench at the GOK stand, visitors become actively involved: they install sample Caramatic liquefied gas systems, familiarise themselves with key components and receive expert support if desired. The focus is on the crash sensor – a safety device that automatically stops the gas flow in the event of an accident or severe jolt. It is a legal requirement if gas appliances such as heaters or refrigerators are used while driving. Experiencing it practically at the workbench helps users understand technical connections – especially those who wish to better assess or retrofit their own system.
New product launch: Caramatic ConnectClean gas tank filter
For the first time, GOK will showcase the Caramatic ConnectClean gas tank filter at the Caravan Salon, which prevents contamination in installations using fixed liquefied gas tanks. It is installed between the tank and the pressure regulation system and stops contamination caused by oily aerosols or evaporation residues from entering the system or connected appliances. Installation of a liquefied gas tank is especially worthwhile for campers who travel off-grid or abroad frequently – and is also an attractive solution for self-builders.
Caramatic SafeDrive: compact, safe, user-friendly
GOK is also presenting once again the compact pressure regulation systems Caramatic SafeDrive and SafeDrive PLUS at the Caravan Salon. Both models feature an integrated crash sensor and can be mounted directly onto the gas cylinder. Their compact design saves space in the cylinder locker and particularly simplifies installation, making retrofitting with a crash sensor easier.
For two-cylinder systems, the Caramatic BasicControl remote display is a useful addition: it reliably indicates whether gas is currently being drawn from the service or reserve cylinder. This allows for better planning of the next cylinder change – conveniently from inside the vehicle without having to open the gas locker.
GOK once again part of “Adventure Self-Build”
GOK is once again participating in the “Adventure Self-Build” special exhibition in 2025. Technical expert Dieter Scharrer will give a talk providing practical fundamentals for planning and implementing a liquefied gas system in a self-built camper – a format that attracted great interest the previous year.
Hall 14, Stand B42 – Hands-on participation encouraged
At the GOK stand in Hall 14, everything revolves around hands-on technology. With the new workbench offer, the company is addressing leisure vehicle owners who want to better understand, retrofit or convert their liquefied gas system – thoroughly, practically and safely.
